Can be helpful

Ok, let me first admit I've only read the first five chapters. But, already I can see that his method is based on the fact that you need a certain amount of settlement money to, of course, pay a settlement amount. Soooo, what about those of us who's budget is so tight with paying minimums on cards as well as other necessary monthly expenses, and don't have money put aside for settlement? I don't think the author would have had settlement money either if he hadn't received the $45k gift that allowed him to make the settlements. That's what I would like to know.

The book is not really updated

Just finished it tonight. It says the book was updated to 2012. It really isn't. The whole story happens before 2010, before the CARD Act was passed. It's written more like a novel of what he went through. The book was just ok.

I picked it up about a year ago while I was going through a ruff time getting sunk by one credit card that had been maxed out at close to eighteen thousand dollars during my divorce two years prior. I had been struggling just to keep up with minimum payments and was falling behind, my credit core had gone from a 798 to a 602. I started to use your techniques outlined in the book and in six months I finally was able to settle the debt for thirty five hundred dollars (roughly twenty percent of what I owed). I checked my credit score today, about three months after the settlement was completed, and now have a credit score of 747. This on top of my dropped blood pressure and ability to save for my children's college again has completely turned my life back on track. All I can say is thank you and I will recommend this book to anyone I run into with the same circumstance
