About the Author
Lester Meachem has worked as a freelance illustrator/designer for many years. He is Head of Visual Communication at the School of Art & Design, University of Wolverhampton.
Dr Lindsey Marshall pursued a freelance career in graphic design before moving into higher education. She is currently a principal lecturer working in visual communications at the School of Art & Design, University of Wolverhampton.

One of the best book from my book collections!!

As the title shows on the book, it explains every detail of how to use images in a design, advertising, and web. How to attract people's attention in a design; do's and don'ts in a design; why do you select a certain image for your design; what's the purpose and more. And also, it talks about colors use, typography, scaling, contrasting, it is a must have book for all designers in all fields. Highly recommended!

A great beginner primer

This is a fantastic book that serves as a well rounded introduction to image manipulation. It is part textbook and part workbook, as it features certain exercises throughout the length of the book. I bought this in conjunction with, " How to Create a Portfolio and Get Hired," by the same publisher. It has definitely helped me become a more independent visual album concept designer and just a generally more informed person regarding this field.
