He was one of the authors of the centenary history of the British motor industry and is a member of the Society of Automotive Historians. He is a keen motorcyclist and lives in Birmingham England.

Simply excellent

As a BMW 2002 & Z4 owner, driver, and BMW fanatic in general, I was exposed to Austin Healeys at the Alpine 500 vintage California rally this year. Being that purchasing books is cheaper than taking the plunge into purchasing cars, I grabbed two books on Austin Healeys. Two books on restoration, by accident. I really needed a guide on these fine cars.

Fortunately for me, this book is an EXCELLENT historical reference. This is not a how to restore an Austin Healey, this is a what you need, by VIN, to take yours back to original.

The author painstakingly dug through Austin Healey records to catalogue the changes within the series and between the years. Truly a monumental task. If only BMW had kept such detailed records between individual cars.

In the BMW world there is Mobile Tradition. MT will send you the build date, original color, and dealership that originally sold your car if you send them a VIN. With this guide, you get so much more. You get what suspension goes with your VIN, what brakes, when the brakes became disc in the front, at what VIN this was changed, at what VIN this manufacturer took over making the starter, etc..

Truly, this book is a wealth of knowledge for a person new to Austin Healeys and for someone looking to restore one to an original configuration. As a novice, the wealth of information can be overloading. However, the color pictures (some of Concours winners!) do make the nitty gritty details all that more enjoyable.

Good restoration guide.

Not quite enough images to remake an entire car to concours originality, but you can get pretty far.I have a BN4, and have used dash, engine compartment, and trunk images as a guide to restoration for my particular car. Other cars are as well documented. The images are very nice and the text is clear.

A fine member of a great series

This is an example of a series about vintage British cars, by well-known expert Anders Ditlev Klausager. I started many years ago with the one of T-series MG's, as the proud owner of a 1950 TD.

I learnt a lot and was able to improve the originality of my car. It is worth noting that the author points to non-original items and discusses controversial features and dates, so it is possible to use these books as a standard for restoration.

I presently own five of them and plan to collect more from the series.

Excellent book!

If you have not read the book, 40 Days through Revelation" by Ron Rhodes then you are missing out on a great read. It is a workbook/book that reads like a book and is hard to put down. It is only 40 days and the chapters are only about 4 to 5 pages long and in a reasonable size font. Not a tiny or real small font at all. It takes Revelation and teaches it in bite size chunks that are easy to understand. I highly recommend this book and it is not expensive. I paid only $8.50 for it on Amazon. Seriously, if you're interested in understanding this book of the bible then please consider this book. I am not helping the author at all and I don't know him but, I know a great teaching tool when I see it and this one is awesome.

great book for understanding Revelation better

Revelation isn't my favorite book of the Bible to read, and I don't read it often, to be honest. When I got the opportunity to review this book, I decided it might be my chance to grasp this book of the Bible better.

The author really seems to know his "stuff". There are 40 chapters, one for each day. In each chapter, he deals with a different section of Revelation, discussing and explaining it, ending with some cross reference Scripture to read, life lessons, and questions for discussion and reflection.

I found the book to be interesting, informative, and easy to read. The author has written it in a way that isn't boring to read, and he does a great job of explaining from a Biblical viewpoint, what this book is saying and what he believes it to mean. No one knows for sure how to interpret some of the passages in Revelation, but he does a great job of explaining them from what he believes.

I did enjoy the book, even more than I thought I would, and understand some of Revelation more than I did before reading the book. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to better understand this mysterious book of the Bible.

Serial novel

I am less than thrilled that this novel is a serial. I guess that's the trend now, especially for writers of this type of series. The next section 130 pages costs $2.99 which seems high to me for that many pages, I not sure this book has that high a value.

A real true page turner!!!!

I literally could not stop reading this story...a true page turner from start to finish I can't wait to see what happen next to Kalie...then next and next...I am waiting in anticipation until the next phase of her story is released December 19 is such a long ways away

Good new series

Good new series. I read part one and immediately got part two--from Kindle Unlimited. Great option. Ms Rayne doles out the clues to the mysteries to keep us wondering. We start with action right away. Kylii is captured and riding in a trunk. There have been multiple cases of missing women in the area. Is she about to be the next? When all other efforts fail and she is about to be tortured, she suddenly shifts. She has never shifted before. Quite a surprise. But is it enough and what are the repercussions?

Result one she meets Hunter, another Jaguar shifter who has some news for her. There is a whole society of shifters of many kinds around. What does that mean for her? For them? For her Family? And is she out of danger from her captor who got a way when she shifted.

She is hunting for her missing parents, and knows more than she is saying. Find out more about these mysteries and I suspect there are more in store as we read on in this four part SERIAL--note this is not a stand alone but priced well and available with Kindle Unlimited.

I got annoyed that a supposedly nursing mother of a newborn could ...

well written, well edited with strong characters. The plot was fairly predictable but it does work. I got annoyed that a supposedly nursing mother of a newborn could just go out for the night without any consequences but overall, I enjoyed the book.

Had faults I couldn't get pass (spoilers ahead)

The plot would of been great but the way it unraveled was just too much to get pass; the first issue was the time frame, everything was happening at an unbelievable progression. Exp. Scene #1 Alicia calls her mom to let her know she will be there next week but then after the incident with Niko (which happened that night), next week turned out to be the next day and that still doesn't add up with the extra day off. Scene #2 Alicia is already feeling pregnancy symptoms a few days after having sex with Niko. There are more scenes but you get the point with the time frame and even though it won't make me turn down the book for just that reason, it does put a damper on making the story believable.

The heroine was my biggest issue because of her actions. Having sex with a married man is not something I approve but I got past it.Thinking about blackmailing the H into giving her money just after finding out she is having his baby and then actually following through with it was a low blow and for that sole action she became unredeemable in my book.

Niko was also not a great H. He came off as someone who just wanted to get off with the h. He would say things to her and say he would only be there for the child. Yea a baby he only saw twice a week. There was some serious lacking of chemistry with these two but you wouldn't think so when their having sex. The hospital scenes were a dead give away of how he acted towards her but the one that struck me the most was letting her go home in a taxi. After. Giving. Birth!

Their reunion at the end was not that great and I did think that drinking while breastfeeding was wrong but it's just my opinion. Also, only a few weeks passed since giving birth yet she was having sex. I could be wrong but I know a "few weeks" is less than four weeks. I would say more than a month/s has passed just to make it more believable instead of always saying a few weeks. Sorry if I'm getting too technical but it's always good pointers to the author! The writing was not bad and I don't think I saw any bad editing so that's a bonus.

Cornelia Vasile is senior researcher at the Romanian Academy, 'P.Poni' Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, Iasi, Romania and Associate Professor at Laval University-Quebec Canada, 'Gh. Asachi' Technical University of Iasi and 'Al.I.Cuza' University of Iasi. She is the author or co-author of seven books, 250 scientific articles and 75 technical reports, as well as the holder of 38 patents.
