CHEMICAL SPARKS

I loved this story, with mystery and suspense, a murderer/arsonist, a new romance, making changes in her life and moving forward. The chemistry between Lexa and Jules keeps the pages turning. His dominance to her submission feeds both their desires and fantasies. The plot kept me captivated, the cast of characters were entertaining and the dialog was witty. The steamy romance between Jules and Lexa sizzles on the pages.

This is a action packed fast pace romance The Plot is well written and keeps you turning the pages to see what will happen next The heroine is feisty and sweet and keeps the Hero on his toes The Hero is a strong Alpha male who knows just what is needed The scenes are hot and sexy If you like your stories with suspense sexy scenes and lots of action then you don't want to miss this one

Fizzle instead of sizzle, for me.

The cover and the blurb on this story grabbed me right away, but unfortunately, the story just did not grab me. The premise was intriguing but I found the actual story to be more of a fantasy. The way Lexa and Jules met was somewhat believable, but from there on the events that took place were, in my opinion, very unlikely to happen, especially as quickly as they happened in the story. The story was almost too fast paced. It flowed well from scene to scene but I just could not relate to the characters. I think a little more backstory on them would’ve made them more believable.

I think the author tried to cram too much into a novella. There is a mystery, there is Jules and his BDSM, there is Lexa and her ex-boyfriend, Lexa’s brother and his wife, Jules’ lesbian cousin, Janie and her attraction to Lexa, and finally the romance between Jules and Lexa. There was just too much going on to be fully explored in a novella.

This book is categorized as contemporary romance but It does have snippets of BDSM in it. Both Lexa and Jules are interested in the lifestyle, supposedly Jules has been living as a Dom and Lexa is basically just curious and thinks she would like her boyfriend to dominate her a little. I would rather that part of the story not even be there, it was barely touched on and the scenes where it did come up were in no way erotic. They consisted mainly of Jules spanking Lexa for doing something he didn’t approve of and never dealt with her feelings about it or any kind of aftercare from Jules. If he loved her, it did not come through in those scenes.

The narration may also have had something to do with my inability to connect. I know the story is set in New York but the narrator’s accent was too much for me. It did not bring romance to mind in any way, very flat and unemotional.

This story had a lot of potential but, for me, it fell flat.

Rapid Application Development Methodology

I have not read all of James Martin's book, but I have researched the topic, and the book talks about the Rapid Application Development software development methodology of which James Martin was the primary author. The methodology was developed by Dr. Martin in the late 1980's as a response to the non-agile methodologies of the 1970's such as the waterfall methodology. The primary problem of the previous methodologies was that larger applications took so long to build that requirements would change before the system was complete, resulting in unusable systems. Rapid Application Development (RAD) attempts to solve the problem through prototyping, iterative development, time boxing, small teams, an active management approach, and the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools. The RAD methodology is not as popular today as agile methodologies such as eXtreme Programming (XP), but it is still a valuable methodology in the right circumstances. If you use A/D chips and need a reference this is it

This book is not a textbook in the traditional college
text mode, but can take a practicing engineer through the
basics of A/D to a particular application. I have it on my
shelf and when I need to know a particular issue about A/D
performance and what engineering tradeoffs are involved in
a particular design, this is the starting point. It naturally
is heavy on Analog Devices chips and solutions, but it gives
the astute engineer insight into the utility of the various
metrics in a given chip's data sheet. It also can give clues
into what metrics can be misleading depending on how their
tests are setup (This is probably more critical). I have the
third edition and it doesn't cover delta-sigma A/D converters
adequately

Araki lives and works in Tokyo.

This book the pictures are mostly in black & white there are some randome pictures of people in Japan & a lot of Japanese women.this book is great for the pictures & any one who likes just looking at another photagraphers pictures I look at this book often & Highly Recommend it to any one who appreciates Unusual photos.

Excellent tool, although somewhat embarassing to relate

I used this text in 1st year Greek at seminary. Phenomenal method that simply works. I can still picture the "absurd" (author's words) diagrams and that's the reason this was a fantastic tool for learning a difficult language. Now in my Greek studies, I keep having "Greek to Me" flashbacks of the diagrams.
My only concern - I'm almost embarassed to show my friends what I used to study Greek because it looks like a text for Mrs. Johnson's 2nd graders.
Ah well, it works.

By far the best gramer I've ever seen

I have studied greek twice. The first time was unbearibly hard for me. I have dyslexia, and learning a langauge with so many strange and confusable endings was very difficult to me. I quickly forgot much of what I crammed into my head. The second time was with this wonderful book. I did not have to memorize the strange endings by looking at them. Story's helpful cartoon gave me the pegs I needed to hang the language on. Wonderful, wonderful book. The publishers must bring this book back into print!

Not worth the money or time

The book starts of with a section on how to use the book and states that the book is intended to be used as a companion to other all included travel guides such as those published by Fodor's. That should have been warning enough for me, but i hoped it would give me information the others does not.
The 5 steps to save you thousands are so common.
1: decide when you want to go.
2: Buy three books (and his book)
3: Book your flights and hotel from your home, online.
4: Purchase your tickets before you take the bus up to the ruins. (honestly, that is a step)
5: enjoy your trip (jup, that is step 5)
The author states many things, like. You can travel from Cusco to Machu Picchu and back in a day, but does not tell me how to do it. Or how much it will cost. He states it cost him $1200, but no break down to tell you if he spend half of it on food and accommodation and the rest on tickets, how much tickets are or where to get the information.
There are a few pictures in the book, but most are useless or the normal Machu Picchu pictures you find on the internet.
One picture that made me laugh was one where a girl filled basically the whole picture with the guard house in the distance, the caption read 'View from Guard Hut overlooking Machu Pichu Citadel' , another one was of two bags on the ground next to a chair, while the text was about the airport. Maybe a wide view of the rest of the departures area would have been nice.
The author goes on to give tips, like bring games to amuse yourself. Seriously, games, i want to see the ruins and climb the mountains not play games i can do at home.
The author then gives a suggested 5 day itinerary, that i presume was the trip the author did. Where he states, there are several half day hikes behind the ruins. (thanks, what are they, how do i get there and do i need an entry ticket.)

Rather get 'Machu Picchu: The Ultimate Guide Book To Explore Machu Picchu and it's Hidden Places' The book has far more information and an staggering amount of pictures in, actually showing you how the places look like, even how the bus stop in the town looks like and much more. It is like a virtual walk-though guide.

I gave this book a one star, because i felt i was conned, the book told me nothing new that i had not already learned from a short search on the internet, that was of any value. The maps are links to google, that you can yourself just go to google. The time it took me reading the book hoping to find something to justify the money i spend, i could have searched the web and found better information or read one of the many other books on the market (that i ended up needing to do). Many of the five star reviews looked suspect to me, and i now feel they where created by the same person as the word 'concise' and also 'common sense' were used in many of them.

Save your money and time and get another book.

If you already own LP or Moon guidebook, don't bother with this one.

The author provides good information about Machu Picchu and Cusco, but there is nothing new in his book that has not already by covered by either or both the Moon or Lonely Planet guide books on Peru. I was hoping to gain insight that the other guide books did not have. Unfortunately, this ebook provided nothing new.

I downloaded this to my iPad for reference while in Peru. What a fraud!! The book consists of links to websites with real information. No good information is provided in the "book" itself.
